Get to Know Dr. Chung Chien Hsia
Dr. Hsia says it’s no exaggeration that dentistry has the power to change people’s lives. He loves that he can give someone the confident smile they’ve always wanted or get them out of pain while restoring their health at the same time. He knows he’ll be able to accomplish great things when you come to see him, but first, you can start getting to know him below.
Why Did You Decide To Become A Dentist?
Growing up, whenever Dr. Hsia would go to the dentist for his six-month checkup, there would always be a problem with his teeth, like a cavity. He finally met a dentist that not only took care of his discomfort, but also taught him how to maintain his oral health so more problems didn’t develop down the road. This inspired him to become a dentist so he could help people just like himself and make sure they’re able to safeguard their smiles.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
After earning a degree in electrical engineering at the University of Central Florida, Dr. Hsia received his dental degree from the Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine. He has since become certified to offer nitrous oxide sedation and taken a maxicourse through the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. This 300-hour interdisciplinary program combines lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on sessions to cover all aspects of treating patients who are candidates for dental implants.
Outside Of The Dental Office, What Do You Like To Do?
Dr. Hsia’s biggest passion outside of dentistry is cooking, so when he isn’t at our dental office, you’ll most likely find him in his kitchen learning and trying new recipes. He also likes to work out, play badminton, watch movies, and travel to spend time with family.
